The Brazilian national cocktail is called Caipirinha which is made with cachaça, a typical Brazilian rum made with cane sugar. Now a days caipirinhas have many versions besides the lime version but this recipe is the original one!
Ingredients (per serving):
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/3 cup of cachaça (or rum as a replacement)
Cut the lime into small cubes (about an inch in size), put it in the glass you’ll be serving, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, crush and mull it to mix it well. Fill the glass with crushed ice, add the 1/3 cup of cachaça, mix it and you are ready to serve. Saúde!
